Job Title: Marketing Designer

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Location: Belfast

Salary: Negotiable, depends on experience

Work Pattern: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30, Hybrid working model.

At a Glance

The Marketing Designer role is an essential part of our Marketing Team. This role will be responsible for the development and creation of visual assets in support of marketing campaigns and collateral. We are seeking a candidate who will drive the graphical identity for projects of all sizes.

One of the key Selazar marketing missions for 2022 is to increase brand awareness in the eCommerce 3PL fulfilment market. We are looking for an individual who can achieve modern aesthetics with an eye towards innovative graphic/video designs that provoke attention while communicating brand values. We are a fast-growing team searching for a collaborative team player who will tell the Selazar story through design that engages both prospects and customers.

The candidate will be a passionate and motivated designer who can transform even the most basic briefs into visual feasts. You will produce best-in-class marketing content which help us stand out in a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, create and transform ideas into visually compelling stories for all types of marketing assets that drive business results which may include websites, presentations, pitch documents, emails, landing pages, infographics, social media graphics, printed collateral, event graphics, video, iconography, illustration, animations and company projects as needed
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to produce marketing content to support project needs and goals
  • Present designs to key stakeholders and gain alignment around decisions
  • Create and edit marketing videos for use on websites, social and events
  • Working with the team to shoot, edit and deliver video content
  • Provide support to enhance written content and visuals to create impactful communication for prospects, customers and end-users
  • Create visual storyboards, mock-ups, and interactive presentations that describe solution concepts and bring use cases to life
  • Assist with managing daily creative project flow and prioritization
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
  • Improve our design system by challenging our visual guidelines and principles
  • Deliver event stand concept and design
  • Maintain design assets and graphics library for the business, taking ownership of the brand guidelines and keeping design standards and consistency across the board
  • Working closely with the Marketing team to support wider marketing efforts, along with the tech, sales, and product teams
  • Work with external agencies as required and be comfortable managing these projects and relationships
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and work with the team to support best practice

About You

Knowledge and abilities

  • A love for design
  • 5+ years in a graphic design role
  • An ability to demonstrate a wide range of experience in graphic design, a strong sense of composition with the ability to analyse the hierarchy of information, strong typography skills, and an excellent eye for detail
  • An ability to create concepts across strategy, copy and design and the confidence to present ideas and solutions
  • Confidence to work without a brief – taking complex, uncertain problems and turning them down into simple, elegant solutions, using early concepts and prototypes to help build conviction along the way
  • An interest in the agile, very fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creative, strategic thinker, and ability to foresee, identify and resolve problems
  • An understanding of best practices for all channels and deliverables, print, digital, social, email, UX
  • Great attention to detail
  • An ability to work on own initiative and equally able to take direction.

Nice to have

  • Degree Educated in a relevant course
  • B2B technology marketing experience
  • Previous experience working in an Agile team
  • Experience with data visualisation
  • Experience, interest or understanding of motion design
  • Familiarity with a range of content formats, e.g., animated social cards, GIFs, audiograms, videograms, stories, pre-rolls etc.
